Christin holds a degree in German Law from the Humboldt University and a Master’s Degree in Legal Translation from the City University London, and has been working as a lawyer-linguist for more than ten years. Since 2020, she is managing partner at Delaney & Dallmann Legal Linguists PartG – a highly specialised translation service provider for courts, notaries and law firms.
Her past experiences include working for the European Court of Justice, the European Central Bank, the German Ministry of Justice, the German Bundestag and the German Consulate General in Boston.
Christin is a frequent speaker on legi-linguistic topics such as legal translation, German legal language, and comparative law. She has been an expert linguist for the European Judicial Training Network.
Currently, she is head of the committee for the organisation of a conference on Language and Law of the German Professional Association for Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ e.V.).
After 5 years in Munich and London, she now lives with her family of six in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg, where she enjoys browsing an edition of Homes and Gardens and having a cup of strong English tea.
