Together with the German Embassy in Kosovo, we had the privilege of co-organizing a very special evening at the Defy Them Cultural Center in Prishtina as part of the German Language Days. The event was dedicated to music, poetry, and diplomacy – some of the most powerful tools we have to build bridges between cultures, foster empathy, and remind ourselves that we are not so different after all.
Legal dispute settlement is a necessity but should always be a last resort. Before that, there must be room for dialogue – and art is a great way to open that space.
The event marked several firsts for Florian Dupuy’s #WhiteNoiseTrio – their first international performance, their first visit to Kosovo, and the debut performance in Kosovo of their song “Kosovo”. But most importantly, it was their first collaboration with Elona Beqiraj, a remarkable voice for cross-cultural understanding between Kosovo, Germany, and more generally the people of the world. Her words and presence gave the evening an emotional depth we will not forget.
We were overwhelmed by the warm reception and deeply moved by the feedback.
To all our friends – especially those who came from near and far in #Kosovo 🇽🇰 and #Albania 🇦🇱 to share this moment with us – thank you or faleminderit shumë!
