WagArb’s Laura Halonen has been appointed global chair of the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations: The Green Pledge, together with Andrew Mackenzie of the Scottish Arbitration Centre. Laura and Andrew follow in the footsteps of Christine Falcicchio, Esq. of Sopra Legal and Cherine Foty of Covington & Burling LLP.
As reported by Global Arbitration Review (see GAR’s article here https://lnkd.in/d8Q29J7Z), Laura and Andrew intend to focus during their term on providing tools to help colleagues green their practices. Laura says that by now we all know where the problems are, so it is time to come together to make a positive impact. 💚
You need not worry, even if you happen to sit next to her at dinner: She will not snatch your beef steak from in front of you — but she might subject you to a short lecture praising long-distance train travel! 😊
