Wagner-Arbitration

Welcome Lukas!

The 1st of April is a special day in the WagArb calendar – not only because it marks the anniversary of Florian Dupuy joining the firm in 2014, but also because many trainee lawyers start their so called Anwaltsstation that day (and many have done so at WagArb in the past years).

This April 1st, we welcomed Lukas Buchholz who will be with us for the next nine months. Lukas has a strong connection to Berlin, as he studied law at the Free University of Berlin in the south-west of the city, before engaging in the two year trainee advocate program aka Referendariat in Berlin.

He also spent a considerable amount of time abroad, starting with a law school year in Sidney at the University of New South Wales and another year in London for an LL.M. program at King’s College London, from where he graduated with distinction in 2020.

Lukas has also gathered substantial practical experience in the field of law while working for international law firms in Sydney (on corporate and M&A matters), Berlin (in commercial litigation), and London (in international arbitration).

When he is not involved with his legal training, Lukas plays tennis and guitar, and tries to catch any wave he can get with his surf board. Good for him, by the way, that he only measures 1.93m. His biggest concern as a child was that he could reach 1.95m or higher and then not be able to ride a rollercoaster any longer.
