Welcome, Jona-Marie Winkler!

From this week on, Jona-Marie will support us at WagArb as trainee advocate and we bid her a warm welcome!

Jona studied law at The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and is currently enrolled in the mandatory two-year lawyers trainee program aka Referendariat. She also holds a Master’s degree in business law and economic law from the University of Halle and spent a semester abroad studying at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chonqing, China.

Her recent professional experience includes working for an international law firm in Hamburg and as student assistant to Prof. Winfried Kluth in Halle. She is a past participant of the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot and speaks English and German with basic knowledge in Spanish, French and Mandarin.

She will be among the first trainee advocates in Germany to type their second state exam on a computer, as Saxony-Anhalt as first German Bundesland has introduced the “ditgital bar exam” for future generations of attorneys.
