WagArb goes Jamaica (although regrettably only in virtual form) – and warmly welcomes Rojae Brown as intern!
Rojae is a few “firsts”: our first intern in the new year, our first Jamaican intern, and our first entirely remote intern in another country so far away! Rojae obtained an LL.B. degree from The University of the West Indies in Kingston, and completed an LL.M. in public international law at Queen Mary University of London. He graduated from the Norman Manley Law School, that is also in Kingston, and holds a legal practising certificate for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
He completed multiple internships at Jamaican law firms before moving to the UK. During his time in London, he joined a reputable London law firm specialised in public international law to work on investment arbitration matters. His interest in public international law was sparked a couple of years back, in fact, when he led the Jamaican team for the 2019 Qatar International Cybersecurity Moot Court and in preparation for the 2020 edition of the Philipp C. Jessup Moot Court.
Rojae enjoys reading in his spare time, and is currently in his bell hooks literature phase. We welcome him to the team and look forward to working with him.
