Beril is a Turkish-qualified attorney since 2018. She grew up in Izmir in Western Turkey. Beril then moved to Istanbul to study law at Istanbul Bilgi University and graduated in 2017.
She completed several internships both in Izmir and Istanbul during her studies, and was a student assistant in the civil procedural law class at Istanbul Bilgi University. She joined an Istanbul-based law firm specialized in dispute resolution and corporate law in an associate position in 2018, and made a leap to Berlin last year for her LL.M. studies in international dispute resolution.
Beril is a moot enthusiast, having for the first time participated as an oralist in a moot court competition organized by the Istanbul Arbitration Center (ISTAC). Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
When she is not tackling legal problems, Beril likes to travel and explore new cities, cultures, and various cuisines. She was a soprano in the Ladies’ and Gentlemen Istanbul choir back in Turkey, as she likes to sing and learn different music genres. Apart from that, she loves animals and was a member of the Animal Rights Center of the Istanbul Bar Association. She is a cat-mom to a rescued white fuzzy ball called Michelle.
We look forward to working with her during the next two months!
