Last week, the students of the International Dispute Resolution (IDR) LL.M. – Berlin had the opportunity to take a glimpse into German judicial practice at the Kammergericht, guided by our Petrit Elshani. The Kammergericht is Berlin’s Higher Regional Court, and has a very long, and in part dramatic, history.
The students got a tour of the “castle”, and even had the chance to attend a setting aside hearing in one of the courtrooms. The discussions that followed on comparisons between German judicial practice and the practice in the courts of the students’ home jurisdictions were insightful.
We are grateful for the visit, and look forward to coming back in the next few years! Danke und auf Wiedersehen!
