Wagner-Arbitration

Welcome Nina!

Nina Georgi joins us as a Research Assistant. She studied law at Bucerius Law School with a specialisation in International Private Law and Arbitration. Prior to her studies she developed a strong interest in intercultural exchange and political dynamics during an internship at an NGO in Tel Aviv. Nina further expanded her international experience during her semester abroad at Washington University in St. Louis and a traineeship stage in Shanghai.

She completed her traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (Hanseatisches Oberlandesgericht) in November 2025. With a particular interest in Arbitration Law, Nina is now pursuing a doctoral degree in this field.

We look very much forward to working with Nina and have so many questions…

What do you cook when you spontaneously have friends over for dinner?

I love a red lentil curry. Easy and so delicious!

Mountains or Seaside?

Both are amazing, but nothing beats the view from a mountaintop you climbed yourself.

If you could meet someone famous, dead or alive, who would it be?

Gisèle Pelicot. To me, she represents courage and resilience. She is an inspiring example of modern feminism.

Which was your favorite place to live so far?

I loved Tel Aviv at the time, wonderful climate and I met the most amazing people.

Favorite time of day?

10:42 AM. Sun is up but you have the whole day ahead!

Window or aisle seat?

Aisle all the way. I get motion sickness by the window, but most of all the aisle is better for people-watching!

Country you wish to visit?

India. I would love to experience the yoga culture and learn more about its tradition.

What song will always get you on the dancefloor?

Pretty much anything with a good beat! I love dancing, so it’s not that hard to get me moving.

Biggest pet peeve?

Slow walkers blocking the sidewalk. A very consistent test of my patience.

Most played on your music playlist right now?

I listen to Jacob Collier a lot these days!

Favourite (public) holiday?

I love spending Christmas with my family – putting up the tree, baking cookies and an annual argument. It’s such a special time.

Last new thing you learned?

Driving a van. Moving day was no joke!

Which movie can you watch over and over?

I love watching and re-watching all seasons of Friends.

Three words to describe your hometown Bielefeld?

It does exist.

Night owl or early bird?

Early bird. I love the quiet morning hours.

Favorite pizza topping?

Cheese, Cheese and Cheese again!
