Laura Halonen is a Finnish native and an English solicitor who has advised clients in international investment and commercial arbitrations for 20 years. She has worked on some of the world’s leading ISDS cases as counsel and currently also acts as arbitrator in commercial disputes.

Laura holds MA (Oxon) and BCL degrees from the University of Oxford. She has worked with the world’s leading arbitration teams in England, France and Switzerland before joining forces with WAGNER Arbitration in 2019.

Laura is regularly invited to speak and lecture on matters relating to investment law, advocacy and environmental impact of arbitrations among other topics. She teaches investment arbitration at the Humboldt University IDR LLM. She has published several articles, book chapters and case notes, mostly on investment arbitration.
