Julian Bickmann, a German attorney (Rechtsanwalt) with a background in international commercial law, has been a part of the WAGNER Arbitration family since 2013. His journey with us began as a research assistant and has since evolved into a key role in our firm. Julian’s expertise lies in dispute resolution, focusing on complex commercial and corporate arbitration and civil litigation. He has a deep understanding of international private and procedural law, corporate law, and commercial law. His experience extends to working with large international law firms in Berlin, Brazil, and Hong Kong. Julian regularly advises in Brazil-related matters.

Julian obtained his law degree from Humboldt University of Berlin. Following that, he completed his clerkship (Referendariat) with the Higher Regional Court of Berlin and the Federal Cartel Office in Bonn. In 2022, he concluded his doctorate degree at the University of Cologne.
Julian regularly publishes commentaries and articles, focussing on recent developments in international and domestic arbitration. Most recently, Julian has published his doctorate thesis on “Fact-Finding in International Arbitration – The Emergence of a Transnational Lex Evidentiae” at Wolter & Kluwer.
