Over the weekend, some of us traveled across the street to attend the annual Premoot of the Humboldt University of Berlin Willem C. Vis (East) Moot Team. It was a blast to meet teams and arbitrators from all over the world, while also reconnecting with good friends from the Berlin arbitration community.
Side by side with their fellow co-arbitrators Valeriia Lada, Lucija Mrkša, José Fernando Villela, Filip Balcerzak, and Ina Frieling, Petrit and Lara arbitrated exciting rounds between excellent teams from various Scandinavian and German universities, and enjoyed a pizza lunch with everyone and – of course – drinks and dancing at a bar in Mitte.
A huge round of applause goes out this year’s organizing committee, comprised of Alicja Zielinska-Eisen, Aina H., Josephine Matschie, and Clemens Wendt. We appreciate the massive amount of energy you put into organizing the event and can truly say that the result was well worth the effort. We hope you see it in the same way!
To all the mooties, we wish you lots of perseverance in your final preparations. Make the best of the final weeks as a mootie and see you soon in Vienna, when the world comes together and it feels like peace on Earth. For a moment.
