Naghmeh (Norah) Javadpour is an Iranian attorney joining us from the International Dispute Resolution LL.M. at Humboldt University. She earned her LL.B. and LL.M. from the University of Tehran and completed her Ph.D. in Iran, focusing on investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS). As a legal and contract counsel for Iranian energy companies, she gained experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and management. She now seeks to deepen her specialization and practice in international arbitration.
Norah speaks Persian and English, and began learning Deutsch in October.

What was your first job?
I taught high school students while attending university.

What do you cook when you spontaneously have friends over for dinner?
I would cook a simple and delicious Iranian dish called “Adasi,” made with onion, potato, and lentils.
