Welcome Charlotte!

Charlotte von Ledersteger joins us as an intern. She grew up in Los Angeles and Berlin and is going into her third year of law school at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Charlotte speaks fluent English and German and hopes to eventually complete an LL.M. in the US and go on to work internationally.

We look very much forward to working with Charlotte and have so many questions…

What was your first job?

I was a waiter at the Café im Kunsthaus Dahlem. I worked at the café during the day, and worked on events in the evening.

Breakfast or dinner?

Breakfast! Yoghurt, fruit, and granola or an American breakfast trumps dinner every time.

What do you cook when you spontaneously have friends over for dinner?

When I’m feeling lazy, I make Pasta alla Norma, and when I’m feeling a little more ambitious, I make rice, tofu, and stir-fry.

Mountains or Seaside?

Seaside. But after having recently been to Lake Tahoe, I might be in the midst of changing my mind.

If you could meet someone famous, dead or alive, who would it be?

Lily King – the author of my favorite book, Writers & Lovers!

Which was your favorite place to live so far?

Berlin! I love how versatile and unique it is. I always have the most fun when I’m here. 🙂

Digital or Analogue?

I love taking film pictures, but I also honestly really love everything my phone and laptop have to offer me, so this decision is a little too difficult.

Favorite time of day?

The evening, because I get to come home and chat with my roommates or my family.

Window or aisle seat?

The aisle seat is the best seat, and this is a hill I will die on.

Country you wish to visit?

I would really love to visit Turkey soon!

What song will always get you on the dancefloor?

Sound and Vision by David Bowie. It’s such a groovy song!

Good advice you’ve received?

You are never behind in your own life.

Biggest pet peeve?

People who take themselves too seriously.

Most played on your music playlist right now?

A Sign in the Weather by Bella White. I am a big country fan!

Favorite (public) holiday?

Halloween! I love dressing up. 🙂

Last new thing you learned?

My brother and sister recently taught me some tennis basics.

Which movie can you watch over and over?

I have a few, but Stuck in Love (2012) is definitely one of them.

Three words to describe Berlin?

Fun, messy, inspiring.

Three words to describe California?

Sunny, gorgeous, welcoming.

Night owl or early bird?

If I have slept at least 8 hours, then I’m definitely an early bird!

Favorite pizza topping?

Green peppers and mushrooms.
